Teenage Australian immigrant Stephanie Conway (Angourie Rice) has always struggled to fit in and makes a vow to be the most popular girl in high school. Her role model is ex-prom queen Deanna Russo who married the high school jock and lived her dream life at her dream house in the same suburb. However, the journey to her dreams is abruptly cut short after she falls in a coma following a cheerleading stunt gone wrong. She wakes up 20 years later and quickly realizes that life is no longer how she left it. Her best friends Martha (Mary Holland) and Seth (Sam Richardson) are now the high school principal and librarian, respectively. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

Every night, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) wakes up from the same nightmare, that of a teenager being chased by various supernatural creatures. On the day of Christine Palmer’s (Rachel McAdams) wedding, the city is ambushed by a tentacled monster and much to Stephen’s surprise, the girl from his dreams materializes in front of him. She introduces herself as America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) who has the ability to travel between universes by punching star-shaped holes through them, a superpower she has yet to learn how to control. With Wong (Benedict Wong) noticing how the creatures in pursuit are not demonic in nature but rather summoned via witchcraft, Doctor Strange seeks the help of one of the most powerful magic wielders he knows. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is now living a quiet life and claims to have put magic behind her. Unbeknownst to the ex-Sorcerer Supreme, the Scarlet Witch has an entirely different plan in mind.

Moon Knight: Episode 6

6. Gods and Monsters
Harrow retrieves Ammit’s ushabti from Marc’s corpse and frees the goddess. Layla pursues them on her own and gets an offer from Taweret to become her avatar. She sneaks into the pyramid and frees Khonshu while Ammit (Saba Mubarak), with Harrow as her new avatar, strikes the Ennead one by one. Despite a stark warning from Taweret, Marc abandons the Field of Reeds and comes back for Steven. The two are freed by an enchanted glow and cross the gates of Osiris back to their body just in time to rendezvous with Layla, now Taweret’s superpowered avatar, and team up against Harrow/Ammit. After almost losing, the duo imprison Ammit in Harrow’s body. Marc/Steven refuse to kill him/her and demand liberty from Khonshu, which he seemingly grants them. As the two live in the illusion of harmonious co-existence, they black out. Harrow is dragged out of the asylum and shoved into a limousine where Khonshu awaits. The god then introduces him to his friend Jake Lockley (Oscar Isaac), who immediately guns him down.

Moon Knight: Episode 5

5. Asylum
Taweret breaks the news to Marc/Steven that they are actually quite dead and that her ship en route to the gates of Osiris is usually visualized by the deceased as something familiar to them. In the case of Marc/Steven, it’s an asylum. Their hearts are weighed and fail to achieve the balance required for them to enter paradise. Taweret suggests they go back in and process their memories in an effort to correctly tip the scales. Steven takes a trip down memory lane and finds out the hard way how he, as an alternate personality, has been created by Marc as a defense mechanism for the childhood trauma he had to endure after being blamed for the accidental death of his younger brother and consequently getting abused verbally and physically by his mother. Marc/Steven forgive one another. Their scales are finally balanced, but not until they are attacked by the ghosts of their past, dragging Steven down with them on the sand. Marc wakes up in a field of reeds, the equivalent of paradise in ancient Egyptian mythology.

The Lost City

♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

Best-selling author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) is not really suffering from writer’s block per se, but rather just finding it hard to finish the latest installment of her successful romance-adventure novels because she’s emotionally drained. Another thing she dreads is doing the round of promotional tours with Alan Caprison (Channing Tatum), the cover model who gets a rabid fanbase of women lusting over him as the book’s fictional hero Dash McMahon. After storming out of the venue, she gets kidnapped by a pair of thugs under the command of eccentric billionaire Abigail Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe) who claims to have discovered the lost city of D being referred to in Loretta’s books. He also believes that she is the only one who can help him decipher the location of a treasure called the Crown of Fire. Finding no help from the authorities, her publicist Allison (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) and Alan seek the help of retired navy seal and soldier extraordinaire Jack Trainer (Brad Pitt) who promises to rescue and bring the writer back within 48 hours.

Heartstopper: Episode 8

8. Boyfriend
Harry gets suspended. Charlie blames himself for all the fallout, quits the rugby team, and starts avoiding Nick. The Truman-Higgs Sports Day comes, and Elle gets to visit her old school, making peace with her past. Tao and Charlie make amends after the latter runs the 200-meter dash for the former, easily beating Ben at his pet event. He puts his ex-flame in his place and warns not to subject him to emotional blackmail again. Nick competes in the red-versus-blue rugby game but abandons the match halfway as he sees Charlie in the crowd. He runs towards him and whisks him away to one of the corridors where he declares his love for him. The two officially become a couple after Nick takes Charlie to the beach one weekend where they finally have their first date. As Nick returns home, he musters the courage to sit down and talk to his mom, effectively coming out as bisexual to her and revealing his relationship with Charlie. Sarah is happy for her son and apologizes in case she made him feel as though he couldn’t tell her that before.

Heartstopper: Episode 7

7. Bully
It’s Charlie’s turn to meet Nick’s rugby friends at the cinema to which he initially agrees after assurance from Nick that Ben and Harry won’t be there. The duo are surprised when the two turn up. The movie viewing experience itself goes well but the bullying occurs right after as expected, which causes Charlie to leave early. He is ambushed at the parking lot by Ben in a jealous rage, but he just shrugs off his insults because he is already so used to it. Nick gets in a fistfight with Harry over the incident and ends up with a blackeye. Tao finds out from Elle that he is the last one in their circle of friends to know about Nick and Charlie dating. She also admits that Harry was transphobic towards her before she transferred schools. With Harry persistent in bullying him as well, Tao takes out all his frustrations on him and the two duke it out at the school yard. Charlie is at the verge of breaking up with Nick because he blames himself for making his life difficult but is interrupted by some random kid’s announcement of his friend’s brawl.

Heartstopper: Episode 6

6. Girls
Nick and his mom settle for Pirates of the Caribbean for film night, and she teases him about his childhood crush on Keira Knightley, which leads him to explore the possibility of being bisexual. He finds new allies in Tara and Darcy as he runs into them at the rehearsals of a concert which also involves Charlie. The lesbian couple are the first friends to whom he proudly admits that he's dating Charlie and he feels proud about it. The three decide to organize a triple date before the concert starts in an effort to also set Tao and Elle up after she admits to Tara and Darcy that she has a crush on him. She does not take their meddling lightly and berates the two for endangering her friendship with Tao, which she believes to be of more importance than the crush she is harboring on him. However, she is ecstatic after Nick and Charlie reveal their dating status to her. Tara finds it hard to deal with the stigma she is facing after coming out on Instagram, but Darcy reassures her that she is just there for emotional support.

Heartstopper: Episode 5

5. Friend
Charlie invites Nick to his birthday weekend hangout at the bowling alley despite Tao not totally approving the idea. Nick is welcomed at the venue without issues by Elle and Isaac, but he later overhears Tao arguing with Charlie in the bathroom about his being friends with him. He also tells his friend about Nick agreeing to go out on a date with Imogen. Nick comes clean to Charlie about it, tells him how Imogen’s dog died and how he feels bad for her as well as his inability to say no. He gives Charlie a handmade frame with a photo of their snowy day on it, which Charlie adores. Initially hesitant because they are in public, the pair share a kiss and spend the rest of the night having a good time at the arcade. Nick apologizes to Imogen for not going to their date but meets her the next day to explain. He ends up with an explanation that gets close to a revelation of his sexual orientation. Though confused, Imogen seems to take the hint and accepts her newfound fate at the friendzone. She defends Nick from all the teasing of his rugby bros the following day.

Heartstopper: Episode 4

4. Secret
Charlie apologizes to Nick for kissing him and goes on a verbal diarrhea about not wanting to lose him as a friend for doing something stupid, blah blah blah. Nick kisses him and confesses that he is having a full-on gay crisis and asks him a favor of keeping their thing a secret from everyone for now. Tara and Darcy deal with the repercussions and rumors at school now that their relationship is out in the open. The rugby boys are to battle it out with a much mature team, causing them to zero in on Charlie and his non-existent tackling skills. The whole gang go to the venue for full support on game day where Charlie is introduced by Elle to Tara and Darcy, the latter immediately getting comfy with her new gay friend and teasing him and Nick. Charlie gets injured as a sudden downpour bogs the game down. Nick wants to rush to his side but won’t in fear of revealing their budding relationship. He comforts him at the clinic later on, but Isaac walks in on them. Imogen asks Nick out on a date, to which he reluctantly agrees due to peer pressure.

Heartstopper: Episode 3

3. Kiss
Nick’s Buzzfeed quiz reveals he is 62% homosexual. He gets invited to his bully friend Harry’s (Cormac Hyde-Corrin) 16th birthday party. Imogen (Rhea Norwood), who has had a crush on him since forever, tells him to invite her to the party, which he does. However, he also invites Charlie later on, with whom he spends most of his time at the venue. The rugby friends interrupt and prod him to pursue Tara, who is also invited to the event. The two talk and she reveals to him that she is a lesbian and that Darcy is her girlfriend. The couple dance and kiss on the dance floor, in effect declaring their relationship to everyone. Inspired by their openness, Nick decides to find Charlie, who runs into Ben and brazenly dismisses his apology. The two boys find each other and retreat to an empty hall where Charlie begins to pry. A hesitant Nick beats around the bush, but the two eventually end up locking lips. Twice. As the bullies interrupt the moment, Charlie goes home heartbroken. The next day, he finds Nick at his front door soaking under the rain.

Heartstopper: Episode 2

2. Crush
Elle finally makes friends at her new school with Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) who turn out to be in a secret lesbian relationship. In a flashback, Ben introduces himself to Charlie at the school, calls him brave for coming out, then starts flirting with him. Nick and Charlie talk about the incident on Insta and begin to spend more time together, like that weekend at Nick’s house where he introduces him to his dog Nellie and they have a fun time under the snow, or that weekend at Charlie’s house where he teaches Nick how to play the drums. As Charlie falls asleep watching TV, Nick feels drawn to holding his hand, refuses, then gives him a long hug before leaving, prompting Charlie’s sister Tori (Jenny Walser) to blurt out her observation that Nick does not seem to be straight. Even Nick’s mother Sarah (Olivia Colman) notices how her son is different when he is with his new friend. Confused about his feelings, Nick turns his MacBook on and Googles “Am I gay?”.

Heartstopper: Episode 1

1. Meet
Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) comes back to school post-winter break after being outed as gay and bullied for much of the previous year. He regularly meets closeted schoolmate Ben (Sebastian Croft) at random secluded spots on campus to make out, but Ben is adamant that their fling should remain a secret and even denies knowing Charlie whenever he greets him at the corridors. Charlie is assigned a seat in class next to Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), the popular rugby player who invites him to join the team after seeing him sprint fast during PE. Charlie reluctantly agrees and slowly develops a crush on his new acquaintance, something his overprotective friend Tao (William Gao) warns him about because Nick is obviously straight. Together with their introvert friend Isaac (Tobie Donovan), they reminisce their time together with their friend Elle (Yasmin Finney) who was forced to transfer schools after coming out as transgender. Charlie breaks up with Ben after seeing him kiss a girl. As a heated altercation ensues, Nick steps in and saves his seatmate.

Moon Knight: Episode 4

4. The Tomb
With Khonshu in absentia, Layla and Steven/Marc have to go on their own to find Ammit’s tomb. They are separated by the attack of a mummy who has been giving Harrow’s men a tough time at the venue. Harrow stumbles upon Layla and drops some hints about Marc’s involvement in her father’s death. Steven finds the tomb which turns out to be that of Alexander the Great, who is revealed to have been Ammit’s last avatar. He finds the goddess’ ushabti in his skeleton as Layla rendezvous with him, their confrontation being cut short by the arrival of Harrow and his men. With neither Khonshu nor the suit at his disposal, Marc is shot twice in the chest, his body plunging down a pool as a hidden Layla watches in terror. He then wakes up in an asylum managed by Harrow’s men with Harrow himself being his psychiatrist. Marc finds Steven trapped in a sarcophagus and frees him. As they try to escape, they are greeted by the Egyptian hippo goddess Taweret (Antonia Salib) at the door.

Moon Knight: Episode 3

3. The Friendly Type
Layla fakes an Egyptian passport and follows Marc to Cairo, where he always falls one step behind Harrow, who has already located Ammit’s tomb via the scarab beetle. Marc convinces Khonshu to get the upper tier pantheon of Egyptian gods to interfere through a trial via their own avatars inside the Pyramid of Giza, where they declare Harrow’s innocence. The Marc/Khonshu tandem gets unexpected sympathy and aid from Yatzil (Diana Bermudez), the avatar of the goddess Hathor, who points them towards the direction of a sarcophagus that contains clues to the tomb’s location. Marc/Steven and Layla team-up and end up at the compound of antiquities collector Anton Mogart (Gaspard Ulliel), where they manage to retrieve the pieces of cloth mapping out a constellation, but not until after some violence brought about by Harrow’s arrival. Khonshu uses his last trick of realigning the night sky to what it was 2000 years ago, leading to Layla pinpointing the exact coordinates before he is banished in stone by the pantheon.

2. Summon the Suit
Steven Grant is sacked from his job after footage of him fighting an invisible enemy at the museum is dismissed as a plea for psychiatric help. He then discovers a storage room with a stashed bag full of money, an American passport in Marc Spector’s name, and a flying scarab beetle, as Marc demands that he relinquishes control of the host body to him. He then casually runs into Layla (May Calamawy), an Egyptian adventurer who introduces herself as the soon-to-be-divorced wife of Marc Spector. As Steven is kidnapped by Harrow and his men, the latter shows the former how his cult operates and highlights the difference between the brand of justice that Khonshu (Karim El Hakim/F. Murray Abraham) and Ammit espouse. He also reveals that he used to be Khonshu’s Avatar and that the Egyptian god is a liar. A ruckus ensues allowing a new personality, Mr. Knight, to surface. [ROAD TOWN] A Boring Daytrip

While the US Virgin Islands changed hands from Danish to American, the British side remained primarily British through most of its history, except for the fact that they were originally part of the Dutch West Indies for 24 years before the Brits gained control in 1672 with the capture of the main island Tortola, where the modern-day capital of Road Town stands today. Despite being a British Overseas Territory, the currency here is the US dollar, and having a multiple entry US, Canadian or UK visa will suffice to be granted entry as a tourist.

[CHARLOTTE AMALIE] The Danish West Indies

Aside from seeing two Virgin Islands every year at Miss Universe, I know next to nothing about them. Now that the possibility of visiting both has come to fore, I decided to read up a bit. Who would’ve thought that Denmark used to have territories in the Caribbean? Apparently, the US Virgin Islands were once called the DANISH WEST INDIES before the United States purchased them in 1917 from the kingdom of then Denmark-Norway, pretty much the same thing they did buying Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines from the Spaniards. Island shopping much, ‘MERICA?

[MANHATTAN] Broadway Barrage Season 7

Broadway Barrage came early this year, perhaps as a normal reaction for missing one whole season during pandemic year. After a back-to-back season just last fall, we come back to Broadway after less than half a year to continue the tradition. All of the six shows have been awesome, though, and I feel as though this season has been worth it overall. I believe this is one of the few seasons in which all of the shows got five clovers from me. And yet, I still felt like I wanted more!

The Play That Goes Wrong (Broadway)

♣♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

To say that the theater group of Cornley University is struggling is an understatement. In fact, Chris Bean (Matt Harrington) who serves as director, set and costume designer, box office manager, PR head, voice and dialect coach, choreographer, and actor, among others, has his hands full with everything that is going wrong in their staging of the whodunit play The Murder at Haversham Manor. Lighting and sound operator Trevor Watson (Ryan Vincent Anderson) and stage manager Annie Twilloil (Ashley Hildreth) try in vain to make last-minute repairs onstage but can’t manage to finish everything as the curtains drop. Newbie actor Dennis Tyde (Bartley Booz) who plays Perkins goes on mispronouncing words while benefactor Max Bennett (Matt Walker) who portrays two different characters keeps on making the show all about him. As primadonna lead actress Sandra Wilkinson (Maggie Weston) is literally knocked out cold by a damaged set piece, the rest of the cast, which includes Robert Grove (Brent Bateman) and Jonathan Harris (Chris Lanceley), must prove their thespian versatility to ensure that the show must go on.

Birthday Candles (Broadway)

♣♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

“The genius of a party is to offer us all a rest from the daily human errand to travel morning until night. To stake a claim in an hour and say I will notice this.” From the age of 17, Ernestine Ashworth (Debra Messing) has honored the annual family tradition of baking a cake in celebration of her birthday, something she will never forget to do for the years to come until she reaches her 90’s. Through the decades, she goes through the highs and lows of life: starting a family with her high school sweetheart Matt (John Earl Jelks); taking care of her daughter Madeline (Susannah Flood) who suffers from a mental illness; watching her son Billy (Christopher Livingston) marry Joan (Crystal Finn) and start a family of his own; and finding love again through childhood friend Kenneth (Enrico Colantoni). Birthday Candles zooms through the highlights and heartbreaks of a woman’s lifetime as she tries to reconcile her existence with that befuddling quest to find one’s purpose.

At the height of his sports career, baseball superstar Darren Lemming (Jesse Williams) surprises the world with an announcement. He is gay. Such declaration of his sexuality causes ripples in the dynamics with his team members, some of whom are caught unawares as to how to react or treat him after his admission. Close friend and team member Kippy Sunderstrom (Patrick J. Adams) believes that the team’s problems appear to emerge from that event, while some other members are not even that careful in spewing words of bigotry towards their teammate. After a controversial TV interview with new pitcher and southern simpleton Shane Mungitt (Micheal Oberholtzer) who uses the F word to describe him, Lemming must decide whether to weather the storm or just take the easy route out by retiring early and escaping from it all.

Come from Away (Broadway)

With a population of less than 10,000, the small locale along with its neighboring towns suddenly double its population overnight as a temporary refuge for confused and angry passengers who couldn’t make their way to America. Come from Away tells the story of that fateful day in 2001, when the mundanity of the daily lives of Gander’s folks takes a turn for a humanitarian crisis which they successfully band together to go overcome. As departure date looms and the southern airspace becomes accessible once again, the occurrence will have changed the lives of both locals and visitors from away, for life.

Hamilton (Broadway)

Would-be American founding father Alexander Hamilton (Miguel Cervantes) leaves Nevis for New York in the 1770’s and meets some influential people during his stint at King’s College who will define his future and eventual legacy. Throwing their support behind George Washington (Tamar Greene), the two will bear witness to the birth of the United States after winning the war of independence against Great Britain. Ego bruised, King George (Euan Morton) asks through song how America will survive on its own. Given his wit and gift of the written word, Hamilton becomes instrumental in the power play that ensues as more political aspirants rise through the ranks. Changing allegiances along the way for his political career to survive, he ends up dead in his late 40’s after a gun duel with Burr.

[LITTLE STIRRUP CAY] Perfect Day at CocoCay

While there are be many other things these islands should be known for, the Bahamas’ Berry Islands always tend to be remembered as those private playgrounds leased to cruise ship companies. The MO is to lease them and be developed to be an exclusive stop in some of these cruise ships’ routes. In the case of Royal Caribbean, the island leased is named CocoCay (Perfect Day) which stands on Little Stirrup Cay. The main attraction is a water park with several slides not appropriate for acrophobic people.

FRIDAY: 18 March 2022

[NEW PROVIDENCE] A Day in Downtown Nassau

I’ve been eyeing Nassau for some time now, checking out flights and Airbnbs available. The only thing stopping me was the visa application process, which I actually went through then find out was unnecessary for cruise passengers. In any case, you NEED a visa if you are FLYING to the Bahamas. Good luck with that. Airbnb options were also kind of limited and pricy, so I thought if ever I fly to Nassau, I will probably just splurge on two or three nights at Atlantis.

[ROYAL CARIBBEAN] Freedom of the Seas

I booked this cruise on a whim, and then the stress that followed that because of conflicting visa requirement info from various websites, both from the government of the Bahamas and not, has been following me around for almost two weeks. But let’s not talk about that anymore. Bottomline, what Royal Caribbean will ask you during boarding if you are a Philippine passport holder are your passport, multiple entry US visa, COVID-19 vaccination card, and negative antigen test (up to 2 days prior to sailing). There is NO passport control at the Port of Nassau AT ALL when you dock.

[ORLANDO] Theme Park or Evacuation Center?

To be totally blunt, I feel like all I ever accomplished at Universal Studios here in Orlando was to pay $150 to up my chances of getting COVID-19, which I managed to dodge for the entire six months that I have been flying around everywhere. Nobody is wearing a mask except for a few personnel. Social distancing is an alien concept. The crowds are of evacuation center proportions. The waiting time to get on a roller coaster is a minimum of 60 minutes in line unless you have a fast pass that costs upwards $150 on top of the park admission fee. After an hour, I decided, nah, I’m too old for this shit.

[JACKSONVILLE] The Biggest City in the Lower 48

I myself was surprised to find out that Jacksonville held such distinction. It was only lately that I even knew the city existed because, seriously, when you hear about Florida it’s always Miami or Orlando. After double checking the info, it appears that Jacksonville is indeed the largest city by land area in continental United States. If you include all states, the city falls to number five right below four cities all located in Alaska. Weird flex, but okay. For a city with such distinction, it’s surprising to see how quiet and sleepy everything seems to be.

Along with her best friends Miriam (Ava Morse), Priya (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), and Abby (Hyein Park), they spend most of their time juggling school activities, ogling the local convenience store clerk as well as fangirling over 4*Town, a popular boyband headed to Canada for a grand concert. The Adam Project

♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

[SAVANNAH] A Georgia with Some History

Blame climate change, perhaps, but it is here in Savannah where the cold blast in March had its climax for me. Jesus Christ, 1 degree Celsius and windchill that penetrated the depths of my soul. What the hell, ‘MERICA? It’s freaking March! And so, that is perhaps one of the reasons why my trip outside has been abrupt. I just couldn’t handle the migraine. It didn’t help that it was drizzling for a while too. Wet and cold, bad combination. Anyway, Savannah! What is there to see? Well, welcome to historic Georgia, y’all.

[ATLANTA] So, Did I Like It?

Overall, I feel like I would thrive in Atlanta should I ever find myself relocating there. I believe I’ve already mentioned that it feels like Boston to me. It’s hard to explain. You know, big cities yet not as chaotic as some of their ‘Merican cousins. Not too crowded and has a reliable public transport system. Lots of green spaces where you can just chill. A downtown area that has its own distinct charm thanks to the public works of art. A skyline that is not jampacked but impressive, nonetheless. The list goes on.

[ATLANTA] Something Fishy Downtown

As much as I would have loved to remember Atlanta by something more distinctive, which I believe The World of Coca Cola was despite being a tad too capitalist, there just wasn’t a lot of places of interest for me. The Georgia Aquarium is a rather general tourist attraction that has similar things to offer compared to other aquariums abroad. But hey, I enjoyed it to some extent, ok. After all, it was just within the vicinity and such a visit will always be a learning experience. Again, the place is literally across the Coke Museum and adjacent to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. You can visit all three in one morning or afternoon.

[ATLANTA] A Tribute to My Soda Addiction

“PEPSI!!!” shouted the kid as he raised his hand enthusiastically beaming with confidence as if waiting for his prize. We don’t think he was trolling because he immediately followed it up with a literal facepalm moment. Context? World of Coca-Cola tour, the guide asking a trivia question as to which drink was introduced by the company after Coke in 1955. The answer was Fanta in case you were wondering. The guy who got it right won a Coca-Cola lanyard. The kid? Well, at least you made us all laugh.

[BIRMINGHAM] An Impromptu History Refresher

Alabama came out of the blue. In my itinerary at least. Knowing that I would be spending a week in Atlanta to apply for the Bahamas visa, I wanted a short weekend getaway that wouldn’t be too far. Searching for random routes on Megabus, only Alabama fell within that category. Either I go to Birmingham or Montgomery. In the end, the destination with the more suitable travel time and schedule won. Off to Birmingham we go then. The problem? What is there to see in Alabama?

The Batman

♣♣♣♣♣/♣♣♣♣♣

Gazillionaire orphan Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) deals with his parents’ untimely death when he was young through vengeance, donning the cape of street vigilante Batman, keeping the city of Gotham almost crime-free. However, it’s different nowadays as the place slowly becomes a cesspool of anarchy and chaos. The murder of a mayor up for reelection by Edward Naston (Paul Dano), aka the Riddler, leads the bat to a collision course with the cat. Fronting as a nightclub waitress, Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz) is out for vengeance as well for her friend’s disappearance, along with several personal scores to settle with some powerful men in the city. Their unlikely alliance is tested as they go through each and every riddle dropped along their path, eventually going down a deep rabbit hole of corruption and organized crime so deeply rooted within the institutions of the city all of them call home.
