Ms. Marvel: Episode 6

6. No Normal

After Kamran’s powers manifest and blow up Bruno’s Circle Q, the duo are on the run and eventually rendezvous with Nakia, Zoe (Laurel Marsden), and Aamir. Kamala also arrives with her new costume sewn by her mother as they all try to distract the DODC, what with Sadie disobeying P. Cleary’s orders and cornering the kids at their high school. Zoe uses her social media clout to rally her followers to form a mob outside while Kamala and Aamir duke it out. She eventually calms him down after his rampage brought about by the revelation of his mother’s death. She contacts Kareem, whom Kamran meets later on in Karachi after his successful escape. Bruno informs Kamala that upon examination of her genes, he found out that she has a MUTATION, which explains why other family members of hers don’t have powers. Bruno heads to Caltech while Nakia and Kamala drive around in the car Kamran left behind. Tired, Kamala lies in bed. Her bangle glows and she is sucked into her closet. A confused Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) emerges in her place.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Diagnosed with stage four cancer, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) heads to New Asgard to seek an alternative magical cure for her illness. True enough, the shards of Mjölnir that Hela broke begin to inexplicably amalgamate in her presence, transforming her into Mighty Thor. Meanwhile, Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) has spent most of his time post-Endgame assisting the Guardians of the Galaxy in liberating planets from domestic level threats, but a newly emerging danger to mortals and gods alike easily becomes top priority. Wielding the mythical Necrosword capable of killing deities, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) has a sole objective: All gods must die. With his pleas for help ignored by Zeus (Russell Crowe) who sits idly in the safety of his home world, Thor enlists the help of his best friend Korg (Taika Waititi), King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) of New Asgard as well as his ex-girlfriend who now wields his ex-hammer along with its powers.

Ms. Marvel: Episode 5

5. Time and Again

British Occupied India, 1942. Aisha meets the soon-to-be father of her child as she escapes with the bangle. They eventually start a family, but their lives are interrupted by the Partition as well Najma, who wants to complete their plan of using the bangle to go home. The family tries to escape but are separated at the train station. Aisha is confronted by Najma and is stabbed, while the father loses Sana in the crowd. Kamala emerges and meets Aisha, who gives her a family picture before dying from her stab wound. It is Kamala who ends up leading her grandmother back to her father, making sure that the two make it to the last train leaving India for Pakistan. As Kamala comes back from the interdimensional flashback trip, the Veil of Noor opens up and one of the Djinns approaches it but instantly dies. Najma sacrifices herself to close the veil, her powers transferring to Kamran as she is consumed by the portal’s energy. Back in Jersey, Kamran drops by Bruno’s house to ask for his help. A surveillance drone of the DODC finds him, which he blasts away with his new powers.

Stranger Things: Episode 34

34. The Piggyback

Team Hawkins groups up to fulfill their coordinated attack on Vecna: Dustin and Eddie camp at his trailer park in the Upside Down and set a trap cum distraction for Vecna’s bats while Nancy, Steve, and Robin head to the Creel mansion. Lucas and Erica accompany Max to the Creel mansion in Hawkins to bait Vecna but are ambushed by Jason as Max begins her trance. Team Russia returns to prison to help the kids remotely by hurting the Upside Down monsters there. Team California goes to one of Argyle’s pizza place branches where they come up with a makeshift saltwater tub so El can access Max’s mind and face off with Vecna from afar. 001 and 011 engage in their psychic duel, the former dominating the latter. Eleven only recovers as Max’s limbs begin to twist. Max evades death but falls into a coma. Nancy, Steve, and Robin manage to injure Vecna’s body but he escapes, nonetheless. The portals crack and the dam bursts open, turning Hawkins into ground zero. Everyone enjoys a short reunion in Hawkins sans Eddie, who dies a hero in the field.

Stranger Things: Episode 33

33. Papa

Four chimes, four portals, four kills. Vecna lets Nancy go to convey his message to everyone in the human world, to El in particular. Team Hawkins decides to battle Vecna head-on, Max serving as bait and the plan being to attack him in the Upside Down while he’s on a trance. They shop for weapons as preparation. Team Russia discovers a lab inside the prison that serves as a breeding ground for Upside Down creatures, along with an enclosed swirling portal. Yuri takes them to a shack with a small helicopter that they doubt can fly them all back to America. Hopeless, they risk a long-distance phone call to Owens. Brenner and Owens end up in a power struggle to let El go back to Hawkins or not, but their bickering is cut short by the military’s discovery of their location in Nevada. As they fall one by one, Brenner carries El out into the open before he is gunned down. Team California follows the military’s tire tracks and arrives just in time to whisk El away as Brenner takes his last breath at the desert.
