[WROCLAW] Pronounced vrots-waf

It was a toss-up between Wroclaw and Krakow, wherever Flixbus could take me from Warsaw and back, really. Of the two options, I preferred Krakow because I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about it. The thing is, Wroclaw had more schedule options on a daily basis to and from Warsaw. Both are around 4 hours away by bus and the ticket prices are almost similar. Wroclaw it is, then, even though I have no idea what there is to do and see there. After a grueling bus trip of almost five hours, we arrived.

[WARSAW] Exploring the Old Town

My first and only Poland visit was in 2017 when I went to Poznan, because it was probably the nearest border trip I could do from Berlin. Given the choice, I usually visit the capitals first because capitals usually determine the overall feel of a country and its people. That time has come for Poland as I include Warsaw as my exit point from the Schengen Zone. Flying from Nice, we landed without incident at Warsaw Chopin. Yes, the capital has two airports. The other one is Modlin. Make sure you know where you should be.

[POZNAN] Castle, Brewery, Bunnies

Visiting Poland became a non-negotiable when I decided to move to Berlin this month. Poznan can be reached from the German capital in just three hours by bus, and some border cities even less than that. Going from capital to capital is also possible on the road but I’m just not feeling a long road trip to Warsaw right now, which would’ve been another three hours of travel from Greater Poland’s capital. Booking a cheap return ticket via Polskibus, I left Deutschland on a Saturday morning for my Polish excursion.
