7. The Retreat

Jen finds a good match with Josh (Trevor Salter) whom she met at the wedding party. They take things slow and go out on a couple of dates until they finally end up in bed on a Friday. Despite waking up alone the next morning, Jen feels glad and is in a good mood, until he stops answering her texts all weekend. Having been ghosted, she just has no reasons to say no when she receives a call asking for escort to Emil Blonsky’s retreat compound after reports of his inhibitor being damaged. They find him there without incident along with some other superpowered individuals trying to find themselves at the wellness center, among them: Man-Bull (Nathan Hurd); El Águila (Joseph Castillo-Midyett); Saracen (Terrence Clowe); Porcupine (Jordan Aaron Ford); as well as one of the thugs who attacked her weeks prior. What starts out as an inconvenience after they thrash her car becomes an impromptu therapy session. In a flashback, it is revealed how Josh extracted Jen’s blood while asleep and relayed a message to Hulkking.

Unincorporated Territories of ‘MERICA! There are a handful of them islands and I’ve only been to four so far, all of them vestiges of colonialism: two in the Caribbean; another pair in the Pacific. Of the four, only the US Virgin Islands (former Danish West Indies) is not a by-product of the Spanish-American War, having been sold by Denmark to the US two decades later. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, our close neighbors in the Philippine Sea, changed hands from Spanish to American the same time we and Puerto Rico did. And then we became independent. The three of them never did.

6. Just Jen

Jen is invited to the wedding of a high school friend from whom she grew apart in the last few years. She is designated to be the bridesmaid in what appears to be a ploy to humiliate her in front of their high school circle, which is just common with almost every high school reunion event. She goes anyway, as She-Hulk, but is rebuked and requested to be “Just Jen” so as not to steal the bride’s thunder. She eventually ends up breaking that promise when Titania suddenly arrives in the guise of being invited but later on reveals to have just orchestrated everything to have a rematch with She-Hulk. A drunk and newly transformed Jen easily defeats her and knocks off all her veneers, further humiliating her in the public eye. Meanwhile, Nikki is given the opportunity to work with Mallory since Jen is away. They take on the case of a guy with the ability to resurrect himself after every death and is being sued by wives and partners who are legally widowed in the process. In a secret lab, a mastermind is almost done perfecting his injection to penetrate She-Hulk skin.

5. Mean, Green, and Straight Poured into These Jeans

The battle for She-Hulk’s name goes to court as Titania launches a full-blown skin treatment line after trademarking the pseudonym. Colleague Mallory Book (Renée Elise Goldsberry) is tasked to be She-Hulk’s lawyer while Jennifer is forced to defend her original animosity and eventual liking of the moniker given to her. Unfortunately, the only legal defense they see plausible is to enlist the help of Jen’s trainwreck dates when she changed her profile on Matcher from Jennifer Walters to She-Hulk. This means she gets to be humiliated by several men just for her to keep her name, which she eventually does after they win the case, much to Titania’s dismay and vow for revenge. While Jen is busy with her court hearings, Pug and Nikki go on a quest to find top-secret fashion designer Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews) who makes top-secret superhero costumes. They manage to convince him to create a set of stretchable ensembles for She-Hulk. As She-Hulk collects her suits, a box with a horned yellow mask/headgear is wrapped for pick-up.

4. Is This Not Real Magic?

Jennifer tries to balance her personal and professional lives by deciding to go back to the dating game via online dating app Matcher. Unfortunately, she gets few matches and the one date she shows up at proves to be a mistake. Frustrated, she jumps the gun and revamps her profile as She Hulk’s, after which she gets a ton of matches with mixed results. Weeding out the fanboys and weirdos, she ends up with a pediatric oncologist with whom she feels compatible with. They skip the niceties and head directly back home, but their little night of romance is interrupted by the Sorcerer Supreme himself. Wong hired Jen as his representation for a cease-and-desist case against ex-Kamar Taj trainee now magician Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro) who accidentally sends a drunk bimbo named Madisynn (Patty Guggenheim) his way who eventually becomes his The Sopranos and This Is Us marathon buddy. After helping Wong get rid of demon goblins Donny accidentally summons, Jen is served a warrant by Titania, who just trademarked the She-Hulk name.

3. The People vs. Emil Blonsky

Emil Blonsky’s parole case is now in full swing and Jennifer must revise her defense to address his underground fighting stint in Macau, a video of which has since gone viral. Wong (Benedict Wong) drops in to testify, stating that he forced Blonsky to do it but that he chose to return anyway which proves he is reformed. In the end, his parole is granted in the condition that he never turns into the Abomination again, something he shows to have full control over. Meanwhile, her ex-DA workmate Dennis Bukowski (Drew Matthews) seeks help from the Superhuman Law Division after being scammed by a shapeshifting New Asgard elf who duped him into believing that she is Megan Thee Stalion. Her colleague Augustus Pugliese (Josh Segarra) takes on the case and wins it after Jennifer testifies regarding Bukowski’s easily-duped personality. On the way home, Jen is attacked by a quartet of thugs who attempt to extract her blood but could not do so in her She-Hulk form. They admit to reporting to a mastermind but don’t mention a name.
