She-Hulk: Attorney at Law - Episode 7

7. The Retreat
Jen finds a good match with Josh (Trevor Salter) whom she met at the wedding party. They take things slow and go out on a couple of dates until they finally end up in bed on a Friday. Despite waking up alone the next morning, Jen feels glad and is in a good mood, until he stops answering her texts all weekend. Having been ghosted, she just has no reasons to say no when she receives a call asking for escort to Emil Blonsky’s retreat compound after reports of his inhibitor being damaged. They find him there without incident along with some other superpowered individuals trying to find themselves at the wellness center, among them: Man-Bull (Nathan Hurd); El Águila (Joseph Castillo-Midyett); Saracen (Terrence Clowe); Porcupine (Jordan Aaron Ford); as well as one of the thugs who attacked her weeks prior. What starts out as an inconvenience after they thrash her car becomes an impromptu therapy session. In a flashback, it is revealed how Josh extracted Jen’s blood while asleep and relayed a message to Hulkking.

Well, I must say I had my doubts since this whole blood extraction MO is still fresh. I just thought the Josh would be different, but that’s definitely Jen’s problem, not mine. I’m just watching here, bruh. It took them 7 episodes to extract Jen’s blood, which has proven to be the main plot of this show. Two episodes left and still no hint as to who Hulkking is. At this point, I believe they are just setting up a sub-boss working for a big bad which will probably link this series to another series or an upcoming film. That’s the only possibility I am seeing now. It doesn’t make sense to hire an actor to play the big bad who will only be there for one or two episodes. That’s lame. On the contrary, I guess we can find some excitement in this because who the hell knows who they are hiding, right? As for the episode itself, I kinda liked it. It’s just so chill and Zen, yet still manages to address the elephant in the room which is obviously the Jen/She-Hulk divide. So there. Two episodes left. Daredevil should be in one. The big bad should be in the other.

“Don't care about what a bunch of losers say about me online. They can't even say it straight to my face because they know they'll get hulk-smashed.” –Jen
