109. Thriller
Matapos sa pagamutan ay sa tanggapan naman nila Brian sasalakay si Valentina at mapapatay niya halos lahat ng mga nandoon bukod kay Brian at ninong niyang si Antiporda na ililigtas ni Darna. Bago ang mga pangyayaring ito ay pinag-uusapan pa lang nila Brian at Narda si Regina kaya naman lalong iigting ang galit ni Brian sa dating kaibigan. Dahil sa sabay na pagkamatay ng pumalit kay Zaldy at ng pinuno ng kapulisan, magpapasya si Heneral Diaz na magtalaga ng batas militar sa Nueva Esperanza kung saan siya ang tatayong pinuno ng bayan. Takot at pangamba ang mararamdaman ng mga taga Nueva Esperanza dahil dito lalo pa ngayon na sinabi na rin ni Diaz na kahit si Darna ay ituturing na ring kriminal dahil wala naman itong karapatang makialam sa paksa ng kaayusan sa bayan na iyun. Sasanayin pa lalo ni Borgo ang kanyang hukbo habang iniisip kung kakampi ba o kalaban si Diaz. Matutuklasan naman ni Trisha na isa pala siyang Extra na may kakayahang magtungo kung saan saan sa pamamagitan ng pagkindat lamang. #DarnaThriller
Kung dati ay halos magmakaawa tayo na pagtagpuin na sila Darna at Valentina upang magkasalpukan na ang dalawa, ngayon naman ay tila ba nais ko na lamang laktawan ang bawat pagkakataon na mag-aaway sila. Wala na kasing bago at paulit-ulit na lang din naman ang mga nangyayari. Hindi mo na nga dapat panoorin yung mga laban nila kasi alam mo na agad kung ano ang kahihinatnan. Ganyan ganyan ang mga hindi pinag-iisipan na laban sa mga ganitong uri ng palabas. Yun bang upang masabi lang na nag-laban yung dalawa. Ganoon ang dating kasi e. Sana man lang pinanindigan nila yung Fight Choreography noong mga unang kabanata pa lang. Sa huli, teleserye pa rin talaga ito. Marahil ay ito rin talaga ang dahilan kung bakit hindi umuunlad at napag-iwanan na ang Pilipinas sa mga ganitong uri ng palabas. Kung isang kabanata lamang sa isang linggo sana ay mapapanindigan at mapapaganda pa nila lalo ang palabas. Sayang ngunit nandiyan na yan e. #DarnaThriller
109. Thriller
After attacking the hospital, Valentina drops by the police station as the second stop of her killing spree, killing almost everyone there except Brian and Antiporda who are both rescued by Darna. Before all of these unfortunate events, Brian and Narda have been talking about Regina and now Brian’s fury rages on against his former friend. Due to the simultaneous deaths of Zaldy and the leader of the police force, General Diaz decides to declare martial law in Nueva Esperanza where he becomes the de facto leader. Fear and trepidation are what the inhabitants of Nueva Esperanza end up feeling even more so now that Diaz has declared Darna as a criminal as well because she has no legal mandate to meddle with the city’s security affairs. Borgo trains his army further while trying to find out whether Diaz is an ally or a foe. Trisha discovers that she is an Extra with the power to teleport with a mere blink of an eye. #DarnaThriller
If before we almost begged for Valentina and Darna to cross paths so they can kick each other’s ass, now it seems like I even want to skip or hit the fast forward button every time they have to face each other. It’s just that there really is nothing new and everything that happens is just the same thing over and over again. You won’t even have to watch their fight anymore because you already know how it will end. This is how half-baked fight scenes tend to be in shows like this. It’s like just a crappy excuse just to say that the two had a go at each other. At least that’s how it appears to me. If only they managed to maintain the fight choreography during the first few episodes. In the end, this is still a soap opera. Maybe this is also the reason why the Philippine entertainment industry is not progressing and has already been left behind, because of shows like this. If the format is a weekly episode then I guess it would be easier to present a better show. Such a shame, but we’re already here. #DarnaThriller
