A Beautiful Affair (ABS-CBN): Kabanata/Episode 40

Kabanata 40

–Edward

Episode 40
Edward is relieved of his chief executive duties. After having a heart to heart talk with Gen and airing out his frustrations, he would decide to follow his own instincts and insist on paying the victims of the Pierro Cityland accident a large sum of money. Because of this, his father would persuade the members of the board to vote for Edward’s removal as the chief executive officer of the company. Edward would consult his lawyer regarding this move, along with the accusation that the explosion was planned by someone. Emy admits to Leon that she is in love with him, something that he would try to ignore but also express gratitude towards. Carlotta convinces one of her companions at Warriors of Light to come out and tell the Pierro family about Rex’s involvement. Trapped and left with no other options after people who hold a grudge against his cult emerge, Rex drinks a small vial of poison along with some other cult members, which leads to their death before the police could come to arrest them.

At last! Warriors of Light is history. Even though we know that their name would still be mentioned in the next episodes, at least the organization itself has disappeared from the show and would not be able to do any more harm. Let us just hope that Rex does not get resurrected, which is unlikely because this is not a horror show anyway. Please go back to the love story, which should be the focus of this show, seriously. Hopefully, Carlotta also gets to be exposed so everything would stop revolving around her. The main story arc of this show should be the beautiful affair between Leon and Gen, and not Carlotta’s frequent attempts to hijack the show. I would also like to take the opportunity to congratulate Emy and wish her a big, “Hahaha, loser!” You, flirt. Just go to school and teach. Even so, her courage is something worthy of praise, but still, just go to school and teach. And take Carlotta along with you.
