Darna: Episode 3

3. Bayan Ni Darna

#BayanNiDarna

3. The Strongman
AFTER FOUR YEARS. In pursuit of a thief, Narda will once again cross paths with Brian Robles (Joshua Garcia), the young lad she helped a while back who is now part of the police force. On the other hand, mayor Zaldy Vallesteros (Simon Ibarra) bears the brunt of Regina’s ire who is now a lawyer and popular influencer. One of Zaldy’s new projects involves an explosion at the quarry so he can gift the land to his businessmen friends. Included in the explosion is the enemy that Leonor defeated and buried there which now becomes the source of the spread of green stones that will infiltrate some people. One of them is the worker whom Narda helped once and now has super strength which he will maximize for armed robbery. Meanwhile, old man Rolando (Levi Ignacio) also rushes to the quarry and is saved by Narda. He is in possession of Leonor’s spacecraft. #BayanNiDarna

Consider me amused by the revelation that old man Rolando has the spaceship of Narda’s mom. Now we finally know that he is an ally and I can’t wait to find out what he can possibly do to be of assistance to Narda. Did he know Leonor? Another aspect that we can admire is the fast pacing of the story. If this show was released 10 years ago, more or less it would take them a few months to tell the same story that managed to share with us in just two days. As such, it probably won’t take long before we get to see Narda become Darna. The way they use the green stones to create Darna’s enemies is also worth the mention. Nevertheless, comparison’s to stories that have come out before can never be avoided like Smallville, for example, where Clark Kent’s first enemies also got their powers from Kryptonite which also happened to be green in color. #BayanNiDarna
