Both struggling artists, couple Einar (Eddie Redmayne) and Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander) are trying to make it big in Copenhagen’s 1920’s art scene. When one of her models does not show up for her painting session, she asks him to fill in for her by posing in her costume. The little experiment awakens something inside him, a feminine side which he knows has always been there. Given his aversion towards parties, she suggests that he accompany her one time not as her husband, but rather as his “cousin” Lili from Velje. For fun. But what starts as simple cross dressing escalates to something more she has never expected, the emergence of a dominant female persona undermining her husband’s male personality. Soon enough, her portraits of Lili begin to receive fame and attention, much to the benefit of her career. It does not take long, however, before the resurfacing identity that he has suppressed for so long affects the dynamics of their marriage.

24. What Did We Do?
Annalise briefs Caleb about the link between Catherine and Philip. Asher’s father commits suicide. Nate is fired because of Sinclair. Annalise receives bad news that causes her to break down on the phone. She informs everyone that Sinclair is coming over at the mansion before sending Caleb away. At 10:03 PM, Bonnie arrives with her body in the trunk. At 8:23 PM, Asher went to confront her before running her over with his car, after which Bonnie came to the rescue. Everyone heads to the Hapstall mansion to stage a crime scene, pinning everything on an absent Catherine. Bonnie and Asher leave after dropping Sinclair’s body from the balcony. Annalise begs them one by one to shoot her. Connor almost does but hesitates last minute. Michaela refuses. Laurel says they should all just go to jail, leaving the gun in Wes’ hands. He gets the job done after Annalise admits that Rebecca’s dead and she’s been lying to him the whole time. 10 years earlier, Annalise and Eve watch as a toddler Wes is briefed in a room regarding his mom’s death.

23. Hi, I'm Philip
Oliver and Philip go out for drinks and head straight to Annalise’s house, where everyone is in panic mode over his disappearance. He denies his relationship with the Hapstalls and threatens to sue them. He makes a statement but Nate doctors his criminal records, adding Schizophrenia on his profile. They send the straw he used to get a DNA sample. It matches the one at the crime scene and proves he’s a product of incest between Helena and her brother. Sinclair offers the Hapstall siblings a plea deal, and they are consecutively almost tricked into taking the offer. Asher puts two on two together about Sinclair wiretapping the house. When they find the bug, they use it against her, feeding her false information. Wes receives a painting from Catherine and remembers seeing one of her paintings in Philip’s hacked photos. Caleb and Michaela sleep together. Afterwards, he shows her a gun hidden at Catherine’s study. She is later shown in a car with Philip, the latter reassuring the former that he will “take care” of everything.

22. I Want You to Die
The firm builds a strategy against Aunt Hapstall’s son, Philip. Finding out that he’s also gay, they manipulate Connor into having a date with him to help their case, but the suspect doesn’t show up. Oliver is now involved, with Frank tapping his hacking capabilities. When he goes back home later, he’s surprised to see that Philip followed him home. Annalise, Eve, and Nate rendezvous to plan their defense against Sinclair. Eve reminds her to stay away from the case. They doctor the results of Nate’s wife’s blood sample. Bonnie avoids Asher after discovering his involvement in a gang rape case, which Sinclair was using to blackmail him. Bonnie and Annalise get into a heated confrontation, a shouting match ending with the former telling the latter that she wants her to die. Four days later at the Hapstall Mansion, Connor and Michaela walk out on Laurel and Wes. As the two take off, they witness Sinclair fall to her death. Looking up, they see Bonnie on the balcony.
