How to Get Away with Murder (ABC): Episode 10

10. Hello Raskolnikov
The police interrogation regarding Sam’s “disappearance” commences, and Annalise lies about the circumstances. In a flashback, she tells Wes that her husband deserved to die, and then instructs him on how to get rid of the body. He becomes her accomplice, the only one who knows that she knows. Annalise pins Stangard’s murder on Sam and drives everyone to prove a motive, which they all willingly do because it’s their only way out. The DNA results are out, implicating Sam. Annalise’s relieved reaction confuses Frank, who asks her for an explanation. She tells him the truth, and he later confronts Laurel about it, but she plays dumb. Connor persuades Michaela and Laurel to turn themselves in, but they find Annalise and Wes waiting for them in front of the police station. Now that they all know that she knows, she assures them that she will protect them. The charges against Rebecca and Griffin are dropped. Hannah Keating (Marcia Gay Harden), Sam’s sister, arrives in town, and tells the police that her brother is not a murderer.

WOOHOO, go Team Work! I must say that this episode is really well-crafted. Why so? Well, it’s because the excitement from the previous episode does not die down, perhaps because we are all dying to know what’s going to happen next. It’s kind of relieving that everyone is now in on the secret, and now they are all watching one another’s backs. BTW, I love Annalise’s new wig. I think she rocks this look way better than the previous one. It is also quite symbolic, as she turns a new leaf and faces this new chapter of her life heads-on. Her reaction is also intriguing. Why would you help the people who killed your husband get away with murder? And once again, it happens to be Wes who she initially gets in cahoots with. They really appear like a mother-son tandem to me. With the arrival of the sister-in-law, who emits strong bitchy vibes without having to do anything in particular, I think we’re in for a truckload of family drama related to Annalise’s past. Uh oh, looks like it’s going to be personal really soon. I hope she delivers.

“I got you into this, and it’s my job to get you out of it.” –Annalise Keating
