SUZHOU: 01 - Suzhou Watertown Hostel

Dashitou Lane. Remember that. The nearest bus stop is Yin Ma Qiao. There is a big hostel right next to this one, which comes first so you have to walk past it. The entrance is a small gate and a patio with bikes hung on the wall. You could rent those quite cheaply. Just ask at the counter. Once you enter the main door, which is reminiscent of those used for elaborate garden gates, you will find yourself at the reception area. Walk past that and out of another door and you would see the common area enclosed in glass walls, perhaps also cold because of the weather. The rooms are within the said area.

The dorm room is small but has enough space left where you can do some stretching. The lockers are big. What I did not like about the bunks is that there was only one outlet, and it was already reserved for the bed lamp. If you need to plug something else, you have to do it in the dark, because the room light is not that bright either. Other than that, I have no more complaint. The bathroom and showers have doors but the room where they are do not, which means the cold wind from outside could actually come in to annoy you. Good thing they have hot water!
