Despite the lack of an actual garden, or perhaps I just missed it
because I arrived at night, this hostel lives up to its name. Although it is
located in one of Pudong's main arteries, the alley that leads to it reminds me
of those alleys on the show Charmed, where warlocks suddenly appear and throw
energy balls at unsuspecting bystanders. I did arrive on the hostel in one
piece, and I prefer this one over Beehome becausebi love the bathroom. Of all
the things!
Well, for one thing, there seems to be more people here, most of them in their youth. That gives the place a party party atmosphere, in particular in the main lounge where there are several couches, the reception, and the TV where a DVD movie is always on. There is another common area outside but must have been susceptible to the cold weather. The room is not that stellar, but the card key and the shower area of the bathroom (small but enclosed) makes it feel like a hotel room, that needs some renovation. The lockers are of normal size but my stuff still fit, so no issue here. The bunk has its own reading light, plug, and a small wooden counter four your phone or water bottle. The WiFi is strong even within the room.
