Sorry
for the picture. I arrived at Tacloban quite late in the evening so I said I
would just snap a photo of the exterior the next day, except that it was still
dark when I left. Fine, I forgot! HAHAHA. Thanks to openrice.com for the
visual. As for the place itself, how was it? In terms of price, this is already
considered as cheap accommodation. If my memory serves me right, the single fan
room only cost 350 pesos. They have this promo where all prices are slashed in
half, meaning the same room would normally cost you 700. I chose the air-conditioned
single room for 560 pesos, which turned out to be a twin-sharing room, which
meant my backpack also had a good night sleep on a bed of its own.
The
bathroom is fine but my only complaint is that it was a bit dark. The room is
spacious enough. There is a television set but I did not test if it was
working. The biggest disappointment I got from this hotel was the WI-Fi. They
do not have WI-Fi in the rooms. Okay, so do you have to pay to get WI-Fi? No,
still no WI-Fi in the rooms. They do have WI-Fi at the lobby and when I asked
for the password, they asked for 50 pesos. No, it is not free. WTF? The room
rate is slashed in half, remember? Do not complain! So I just tethered using my
phone. Luckily, signal was good in the room and the speed was decent enough not
to give me a migraine.
Another
good thing about this hotel is its location along the route of the
jeep to and from the airport. If you want more information, you could visit
