Capítulo 23

Doña Refugio ya se enfrenta con Rubí pero a escondidas de Cristina acerca de la beca. Cuando su mamá le pregunta en que ha gastado todo el dinero que recibe de su hermana y lo que gana en su trabajo, Rubí miente de nuevo y dice que había deudas en la universidad que aún están pendientes. Igual Doña Refugio le dice que ya no va a recibir ni un centavo de su hermana y le pega una bofeteada. Hector tiene un plan. Él va a casarse con Maribel y van a partir pronto para Nueva York. Acaban por resolver el asunto de la fecha de su boda con la iglesia. Sin embargo, por ahora más que nada Rubí lo necesita a causa del enfrentamiento con su mamá. Ella sabe que ya tiene que estar en desarollo su plan. Cayetano hace visita a la casa y brindan porque Cristina y él ya son novios.

Cada vez que asoma las narices la Doña Refugio tengo miedo de que se desmaye. Rubí siempre causa que suba la presión de su mamá y en este capítulo eso es lo que pasa. Por la bofeteada que le pega su mamá, ahora le urge más que tenga un plan concreto para mostrarle a ella que va a tener éxito. Es que ella ya trabaja y a la vez estudia. Ella puede hacer los dos, lo que quiero decir es que ella es una mujer capaz de ganarse la vida pero lo malo es que opte por usar a otra gente para que le den a ella los lujos que quiere. Por qué no trabajar y luchar como Dios manda? Bueno, porque será un aburrimiento esta telenovela si ella sea tan amable y humilde, no? Qué pena. Me siento mal por la Doña Refugio. Al contrario me alegra de que ya se libere Cristina de su “responsabilidad” a su hermana.

“Te vas a sorprender, mamá, porque vas a ver que voy a terminar siendo yo a que pague todos los gastos de esta casa, hasta le doy dinero a mi hermana, y entonces a ver si me pegas igual.” --Rubí

Episode 23

Doña Refugio confronts Rubí about the scholarship but behind Cristina’s back. When her mom asks her on which she has spent the money she receives from her sister and she earns from work, Rubí lies again and says that there are pending debts at the university. Just the same, Doña Refugio tells her that she is no longer receiving even a centavo from her sister, and then she slaps her. Hector has a plan. He will marry Maribel and they are going to leave for New York at once. They end up resolving the issue regarding the wedding date with the church. However, now more than ever Rubí needs him because of her confrontation with her mother. She knows that her plan should be in in development. Cayetano visits the house and they propose a toast because he and Cristina are now in a relationship.

Every time Doña Refugio appears I fear that she might faint. Rubí always causes her mom’s blood pressure to rise and it is exactly what happens in this episode. For the slap that she receives from her mom, now Rubí urges herself to have a concrete plan so she could show her that she is going to succeed. It is that she is already working and studying at the same time.  She can do both, what I am trying to say is that she is a woman capable of earning a living for herself but what’s bad is that she opts to use other people to shower her with the luxuries that she wants. Why not work and toil like most people? Well because this soap opera would be a bore if she were so nice and humble, right? What a shame. I feel bad for Doña Refugio. On the contrary I am glad that Cristina is now free from her “responsibility” towards her sister.
