I love this guest
house. It is strategically located just between Myeongdong Station and the
Namsan Cable Car. There are many convenience stores just stone’s throw away.
The double room was spacious, with a queen-sized bed and a small fridge.
Outside
there was a kitchen, a washing machine, two bathrooms, and a living room with a
public computer that could be used to surf the Internet. It wasn’t all that “private”
since there are two more guest rooms on the same floor, but that’s not really
an issue for me.
So, what’s the
catch? KRW60, 000 per night, which is around 2,400 pesos. It is half the price
of a three-star hotel in the same area, but still expensive for the budget-conscious
backpacker. I wanted to stay in this guest house for the whole week and I
wouldn’t mind splurging if this were my last trip. Unfortunately I still have
China, Taiwan, and Japan on my hit list this year. I can’t afford to be choosy
when it comes to accommodation. If you have the funds, I highly recommend this
guest house. It is just next to the Namsan Guest House, within the same
vicinity as the Pacific Hotel.
