Silloam Fire Pot
Sauna is within walking distance from Seoul Station. It is a bathhouse/sauna that
doubles as a cheap accommodation for backpackers. I paid the night rate of 12,000
won (480 pesos). The said fee is valid from 8PM to 10 AM, which gives you 14
hours of free accommodation and use of the facilities such as the saunas, the
thermal pools, and the three sleeping rooms on the fifth floor: one for men,
one for women, and the other for snorers (mixed).
The sleeping room
was surprisingly quiet despite the frequent opening and closing of the door and
the occasional snoring of some Korean snorers in denial. The room is kept dark
and the sunlight does not come in, although there is sufficient lighting for
you not to trip on anyone. There is nothing much to do in that room except
sleep, what with rows after rows of double bunk beds and the dim lighting. This spa/bathhouse is a
perfect alternative for budget-conscious travelers.
Once you pay the
fee you are given a shirt and shorts (white for men, orange for women). Once
inside you are required to leave your footwear in one of the lockers. You
deposit the key of the said locker to the counter along with your receipt in
exchange for another key for the bigger locker where you can stash your things.
The toilet is communal but neat.
There is Wi-Fi but I never figured out which it was and how to access it. They do not have many sockets for charging, and you might need an adaptor, which they do not provide. There is, however, a PC bang on the second (or third, I forgot) floor. You insert a 500-won coin directly into the slot on the CPU itself and it gives you 20 minutes (or 40, sorry I was already sleepy, didn’t notice) of internet access. Another thing, nudity is the norm, at least for men. I wouldn’t know for women. You won’t see anyone in the bathing area wearing anything. So prepare to strip.

nice, will definitely try this! got your link via pex :)
Thanks for the visit! Yes, Silloam is worth it if you are looking for cheap alternatives. Imagine, 500 pesos for one night in the middle of Seoul.
tiba tiba pala dito pag gay ka katulad ko hehehe
Hahaha. Kung hubaran din lang normal na talaga sa kanila yun. Sa locker room maghuhubad sila sa harap mo na parang wala lang. Siyempre we come from a conservative society kuno kaya may culture shock pero after a few instances masasanay ka na rin. I think asa culture talaga nila yan, I even saw kids around 5 years old in there just bathing with their fathers. Kaya siguro pagtanda nila wala nang ilangan, sanay na sanay na.
